A delightful escape into a natural environment. There are hiking trails, gardens, and animals, including goats who love to snack on dried oak leaves.
The grounds are gorgeous. Never know you were in a densely populated area. Lots of trails, beautiful Barn, and the facilities are outstanding. Staff is delightful and really knows their stuff. There are Master Gardeners and nice fields and a good place to hold a reception. enjoy.
Great site for the family. Has some easy hikes, a couple of lives animals (goat, chickens, owl, etc), and several historic buildings
We enjoy going for walks in the garden. Great for family photos
The Howard County Conservancy is a gem. 232 acres of hikeable lands, a nature center and lots of cool summer camps for the kids. They have a large rentable room/conference center, but I mostly like it for the easy ability to get back to nature without having to drive a long ways to do it. If you are a photographer (I am) this is a great place to do outdoor portrait shoots, too. But call first to avoid scheduling conflicts.
